Awesome Console Vault

With the increase in car break-ins over the last year, I needed to find something to easily increase the security of valuables like cell phone, wallet, small purse, etc...in my Ford Edge. The Console Vault was easy to install. It is secure and I have peace of mind. Thank you for that.

The vault material is substantial but I had issues with the install. The catch was longer than the amount of space between console wall and vault. I had to remove some of the console wall to be able to lock safe. The other issue is the self tapping bolt threads could stand to be beefier with a vault this cost.

Good fit and finish

A quality product. Barrel lock, the only locking mechanism available for my model vehicle, is less than ideal. Other lock options would be preferable for quicker accessibility and practicality of use.

could be better

Had to modify the console interior for the lock to work. Also, you can't remove the key when it's unlocked, so you can't leave it unlocked while driving unless you keep the whole console open, (the key stops the lid from closing). There are only 2 keys, and 2 extras cost $60.00. maybe I'll find a replacement lock. other than that, it fits well and I do feel better about leaving things in the car when I can't carry them.
