It fits like a glove. The two self tapping bolts are the perfect length to secure the safe and not too long to screw through the side of the center console. Anyone can install this. 10/10 for installation, 10/10 for superior build quality.

The coolest thing is that you can keep your OEM center console tray to keep you coins and other things on top.

WORKED GREAT IN MY SUBARU AND MORE SECURE

Easy install - out of sight ( it does not invite a smash and grab ). The construction is hefty enough to leave most bad apples frustrated. Using this console vault is easier than chaining a lock box to the seat frame.
Glove boxes are for gloves not valuables and trunks are way too far away.

Called the company because the product was listed for a 2019-2024 Subaru Ascent and I own a 2025. Customer service was very responsive and gave me a nice discount to Beta test in the 2025.
Ordered the fancy digital lock because it operates like my other gun safes (same manual of arms 😉). Very glad I did, it is a breeze to use, it has large numbers and audio conformation beeps for my older eyes and ears!
Installation was easy and as advertised. I did modify the Subaru coin tray to fit better after the safe was installed by widening the forward side slots and removing the rear edge.
I recommend this safe not only for gun owners, but anyone who is active and needs to secure a wallet, jewelry or cell phone while doing activities away from home.
A piece of auto glass is not enough to protect anything you value.
Only negative is the cost, but the quality is commensurate with the price. Therefore,

This was easy to install and fit very nice, it feels secure. In order to use the little change tray that came with the car and be able to close the console, my husband had to cut a little notch in the back of the change tray and it worked perfectly.
