Triple Lock

Console Vault has recently made the greatest design improvement since the product was first developed. Our new Triple Guard Lock System™ incorporates a latch design similar to the pins used in the doors of bank vaults, an overall improvement that greatly increases security.

The design also includes a front channel that incorporates the lid into the body of the vault itself, ultimately eliminating stress from the physical lock.

Works for me

Pros: Solid, well-made, fits my EDC.
Cons: A bit pricey. Ultimately, it is only screwed into the plastic console--still more secure than a cable attachment.
Note: It is not a Tardis--if an item doesn't fit or just barely fits in the console, it won't fit inside a box that fits inside the console. It holds a 5 shot 1 1/4" J-frame snubby in an Uncle Mike's #3 soft pocket holster and several speed loaders just fine. If you have anything much bigger, or a hard side holster, I recommend measuring carefully before ordering.

OK for Punks & Dopers

Mounting not as secure as I had hoped for. Good to keep out punks and dopers wanting a quick score. Could easily be extracted quickly with the appropriate tools. I knew it would be small, all that I can keep in it is a sub-compact pistol and not much else.

High quality. This is my 3rd vault from Console Vault. Had one for a Tahoe, a Tacoma, and now my wife’s 24 Subaru Outback. Just wish the door/lid opening on this one was a bit bigger. A small sub-compact G43 will barely fit, and won’t lay flat, taking up all the space. Also forget about getting it out quickly. Still happy enough with it to keep.

In my new Subaru Outback, it is SMALL!

It’s small, but that’s because the space in the console is significantly smaller than my older Outback. It will only permit me to secure a small revolver or a subcompact pistol. Even a 4 inch 1911 is too big. ☹️
I have a wish/suggestion: Please include some rubber or flexible plastic bolt head covers. The exposed bolt heads in the console storage area are murder on the finish and stocks on a handgun. I’ve ordered two different kinds but I can’t get them mounted in the cramped confines of the console box.
