Console Vault® / For hikers, surfers & overlanders
Leave the fob.
Take the trail.
Fobs don't swim, wallets don't belong on summit ridges, and trailhead lots are where break-ins happen. Lock the essentials in your console, carry a single key, and go.

01
Trailheads & lots
Remote lots sit unattended for hours. Nothing worth taking stays in view.
02
Surf, lake & river
Swim without a fob in your pocket or hidden on a tire.
03
Doors-off & soft tops
A soft top or removable doors are easy to get past. A steel safe is not.
03 / Why steel beats hiding
The glovebox is
the first place
they look.
Under the seat, in the door pocket, behind the visor. Thieves know them all. A Console Vault is a locked steel safe that fits inside the console you already use.
- Heavy-gauge steel
- A solid barrier between your essentials and a smash-and-grab.
- Vehicle-specific design
- Built around the dimensions of your factory console. No drilling a generic box into place.
- Your choice of lock
- Key, mechanical combination or electronic, depending on the application.
- Lifetime warranty
- Backed by Console Vault, assembled in America. Read warranty details.
04 / Fit before you buy
Built for your vehicle.
Not a one-size box.
Every Console Vault is made for a specific factory console. Start with your vehicle, then match the model year and console on the product page.
How do I lock my key fob in the car and still get in?
Many drivers lock the fob in the safe and carry the vehicle's mechanical key, or use their vehicle's keypad or app entry. Check how your vehicle behaves with a fob left inside before you rely on it.
Will a fob inside the car keep it unlocked?
Some vehicles detect a fob in the cabin. Steel can reduce the signal, but results vary by vehicle and fob, so test it in your driveway first.
Does it work in a Bronco or Wrangler with the doors off?
Yes. The safe mounts in the factory console and locks independently of the doors and top. Choose your vehicle below to see current applications.
Which lock is best for the outdoors?
A mechanical combination means no key to carry. Compare available locks on your safe's product page.
