This is an excellent safe and took just a few minutes to install. If I ever need another, I would definitely buy another Console Vault. That being said, let me add some constructive criticism. I ordered the 3-digit combo because I didn't want to have another key on my keyring. I don't regret that decision but if I were needing to get into the safe quickly during an emergency, the small "wheels" to spin the combo along with the stress of that type of situation would probably be slow to open. The 4-digit would be even slower. Then again, retrieving a key probably would be slow too. Also the way the attachment screws stick out inside the safe are hard on the hands and can scratch whatever is in the safe. It doesn't look very good, but I covered mine with black duct tape to protect my hand and the contents of the safe. Even though the sides and bottom of the safe is made of thin (but strong) sheet metal, it was surprisingly heavy. What did surprise me though was it was not solid metal. By that, I mean the sides have large parts are cut out. Since it fits so good, nothing is going to fall out of the safe when it is installed, but I would have preferred it to be a solid "box".
