Console Vault has recently made the greatest design improvement since the product was first developed. Our new Triple Guard Lock System™ incorporates a latch design similar to the pins used in the doors of bank vaults, an overall improvement that greatly increases security.

The design also includes a front channel that incorporates the lid into the body of the vault itself, ultimately eliminating stress from the physical lock.

Excellent purpose built option

Overall I’m very happy with this for 2015 WT Colorado. Awesome fit and finish, easy install, seems durable. The plastic console liner is the weak link since this installs with just two large self tapper hex bolts (I would’ve liked to see more attachment points, but could be DIY’d). It would be messy and inconvenient to pry/break the vault out regardless. The door on this particular version is a bit smaller than expected but I’ve got no issue storing a CCW, wallet, valuables, etc. Combo lock is not a good option for quick access, but suits my needs well and offers piece of mind.

Fits Perfectly

It does fit nicely. We did need to purchase longer screws to secure it in place. Otherwise we love it and it's nice to have a secure place in our truck to keep valuables.
