I installed the safe in my 2025 F150 about two weeks ago and have been really pleased with it. The installation process is easy - no need to remove the trim around the console as with some other models I remember using in the late 2010s. You choose the kind of lock you want (and can swap out later). With this model, you are securing entire console space but there is still a bit of clearance above the safe for flat items such as an ID badge or small personal item.
To install, you just remove the bottom liner pad and add the lower frame plate. After unfolding it into place and verifying the slots align with existing taps, the remaining steps are simply a matter of securing the plate and dropping the top assembly (containing the door) into place. With the safe door open, you finish by adding and tightening screws around the top. The printed pictures are not great in the manual - I would pull down the installation instructions online to get the PDF.
I measured wrong when ordering (my mistake - not theirs) and so ended up with the 12.5" fitment version. The service at Console Vault was great. I explained the issue in a support ticket and they set me up an RMA to return the safe. In a few days, I had ordered the correct one and returned the incorrect one.
With a safe we had in a 2019 F150 a few years ago, I joked that I had to send my wife on an errand so she wouldn't see what I had to do to pull out the trim and drill the holes to get the safe in place. The Console Vault team has done a nice job making the fit and installation easy. I've opened and closed it numerous times. Because of the sheer volume of the F150 console secured by the safe, you might want to install a light inside or have a penlight at the ready. Great product!
I'll order again when I need a new safe.
